Adaptations support accessibility at home after a life-changing accident

The Axis Foundation is supporting Rueben Sharp, our colleague at Axis CLC, following his serious car accident.

The Foundation’s Trustees have donated towards adaptations to Rueben’s home: specifically towards a stair lift and bathroom conversion to a wet room, helping make his home accessible when he leaves rehabilitation.

“I’m extremely grateful to the Axis Foundation and our Trustees for helping make my home accessible. Being able to return home will mean a great deal to me” – Rueben Sharp

More about Rueben

Rueben is a Trainee Quantity Surveyor working for Axis CLC in Walsall. He suffered a car accident in February 2026 and is now permanently paralysed from the chest down.

Before his accident, Rueben was completing his Quantity Surveying degree at the University of Wolverhampton alongside his work with Axis CLC.

Inspired by the determination Rueben has shown through his recovery, colleagues at Axis CLC have been rallying to support him and his family as he rebuilds his life.

“I’m honestly blown away and a little lost for words. The all round support shown to Rueben by you and your colleagues across the business has been nothing short of phenomenal and we cannot thank you enough for your ongoing championing” – Rueben’s father

You can support here him too.
